Weird response from AT^SMONI command | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hi all,
I'm new to the product and one of our customers is receiving a response i've not seen before when running the AT^SMONI command. This in turn causes the script to fail.
The response we're seeing is: ^SMONI: 3G,4436,62725,-24.0,-121,505,01,2251,----,,--,--,----,---,-,-24.0,-121,0,00,00<CR><LF><CR><LF>OK<CR><LF>
Does anyone have any ideas on what would cause this command to return ---- in several of its’ parameters and cause the script to fail?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards,
Andrew
Hello,
You haven't written what module you are using but I suppose it is EHS6 or similar.
Yes, some of the parameters may not be available. This is described in the release note: "During an active connection (Talk / Data mode) AT^SMONI and AT^SMONP do not show all parameters".
However CellID should be available - I have also tried with my module and the CellID was displayed. So I suppose that in your case it also should generally be available - maybe it wasn't only in this particular SMONI call for some reason.
The most important parameters for signal quality estimation in 3G like EC/n0 and RSCP are available.
