Just reinstalled
ehsx_rev03.001_arn0000014_install-cd
and it showed all the usb-devices.
But when I reset the modue it all wanished.
Reconnecting now, only give me this:
Unknown Device

Port_#0002.Hub_#0004
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Hello,
Please verify if the module is working correctly while connected to some other PC or try some other EHS6 module with this failing PC.
If the module works with other PC and the probles started after reinstallation of install-cd and drivers the problem might be caused by Windows. In such case I'd try to find some program or Windows feature to list all the drivers (including those for not connected devieces) and just remove all Cinterion drivers (and maybe also some suspicious and not used ones) and try again.
It is not clear for me if it is not possible to set standard output to usb1 or this problem only happens when standard output is set to usb1 or null. Please note that with current setting '^SCFG: "Serial/Interface/Allocation","1","1"' usb1 is reserved for tracing.
Best regards,
Bartłomiej
Well, I do not know what to do or how to do a proper setup.
In order to make windows recognize my module,
1) I have to disconnect the power,
2) disconnect the usb,
3) put power to module
4) plug the usb in and waiting for windows to recognize the module,
setup the terminal and ok.
But, but, then the module has fished it's set, and I am unable to watch the printout.
If I then run a reset, the usb has disappered, and I can not still se anything.
I do have a camera on asc1 to explore, but can not see my printout.
I thought that usb was a great idea.
What to doooo?

In the pdf file I found somthing about "usbmodem.inf" should be present, but I can not find it, and do not know if this is a problem. If so, how to move on?
I really do not know what to do? Are You able to send me a new installation ZIP?
Somewher You mention somthing about
With the Cinterion driver the module should appear as USB modem.
The device manager does not show anything about a modem.
br
Hello,
You should be using the installation CD released for the firmware veriosn that you have. You can verify the detailed version with 'ATI1' command. Please check.
The package also installs the drivers. But the drivers are also available as a separate package.
Have you tested with other module or PC? Is there any application running on the module? If the module appears after powering on and disappears, maybe the problem is related to a MIDlet running on the module which crashes or causes the module crash.
In case the module is restarted and it is not possible to communicate with it over USB please close and reopen the USB connection on PC.
Regards,
Bartłomiej
EHS6 - 8 and ELS61 share the same foot-print to my own design, but I do not have any installation CD. Only downloads, and that is perhaps the problem. Can You send me these CD's
I found a libray ehsx_drivers_1113 containing:
ehsx_drivers_1113\usb\ehxusb.cat
ehsx_drivers_1113\usb\ehxusbport.inf
ehsx_drivers_1113\usb\ehxusbmodem.inf
but where should these reside in the filestructure
I do not know. Some app must use them, but who?
br
Hello,
It is the best approach to use the installation CD released for the firmware version that is installed on your module.
You should find installation CDs, drivers and documentation here:
https://iot-developer.thalesgroup.com/documentation/download-documentati...
Please check 'ATI1' replies before downloading.
Best regards,
Bartłomiej
ATI1
Cinterion
EHS6
REVISION 03.001
A-REVISION 00.000.14
But Your link is protected by password
Sorry, found it
But still, in what library should they reside during installation, and wich program?
For installation CD please go to Java_SDK folder and then find your version.
I downloaded
ehsx_rev04.003_arn0100004_install-cd
Removed all of my java, and run the above.
It installed the jdk-7u25-windows-i586
EHS5_JAVA_HOME -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_25
EHS5_WTK_HOME -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Cinterion\CMTK\EHS5\WTK
EHS5_CLASSPATH ->
C:/Program Files (x86)/Cinterion/CMTK/EHS5/WTK/lib/cldc_1.1.jar;
C:/Program Files (x86)/Cinterion/CMTK/EHS5/WTK/lib/cwm_1.0.jar;
C:/Program Files (x86)/Cinterion/CMTK/EHS5/WTK/lib/impng_1.0.jar;
C:/Program Files (x86)/Cinterion/CMTK/EHS5/WTK/lib/jsr75_1.0.jar;
C:/Program Files (x86)/Cinterion/CMTK/EHS5/WTK/lib/jsr177_1.0-crypto.jar;
C:/Program Files (x86)/Cinterion/CMTK/EHS5/WTK/lib/jsr179_1.0.jar;
C:/Program Files (x86)/Cinterion/CMTK/EHS5/WTK/lib/jsr280_1.0.jar
Afther installation I run the ati1 ->
Cinterion
EHS6
REVISION 03.001
A-REVISION 00.000.14
Then I run this ->
AT^SCFG="Serial/Interface/Allocation","3"
^SCFG: "Serial/Interface/Allocation","3","3"
^SCFG: "Userware/Stdout","usb1",,,,"off"
But at no time, the Windows Device Manager show any module.
the ehsx modem is not shown at any time.
Reading ehsx_java_usersguide_v16.pdf
Mention somthing about
The Gemalto Module Manager (GMM)
But it does not show up on my win-7
What is missing
Could it be that the full installation is depended on any of Your Consept-board or other board's and other, excluding other prototyping. The file structure in the usergude does not showup on my computer.
br morten
Hello,
You have downloaded installCD for revision 4 module while you have revision 3 module. I have recommended you to use the installCD appropriate for your firmware version as it guarantees the compatibility. It is not possible to update revision 3 module to revision 4 as new hardware is needed. There are changes in Java libraries also - you need the older ones for your module.
If you install the whole package the debug connection is also being installed and it includes the drivers installation. You can also install it separately (it's in Installer folder on CD). If you are not insterested in installCD and Java development you can find the dirivers package from the link I have pasted before. If you only need to communicate with the module over RS232 interface you don't need any special driver.
GMM is not included in the standard installation CD. It is a part of Gemalto JSDK which is a new alternative to standard installation CD.
Best regards,
Bartłomiej
