Urgent - PLS8-X modules going down with US 3G Shutdown | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hi there,
We have a few hundred devices operating in the US on the AT&T network.
The module in use is the PLS8-X with firmware version 3.017
Our pre-research suggested that since this is a data-only module, we should not be affected by the 3G shutdown, but we are seeing more devices not connecting every day.
We do have AT command access to the module.
Are there any diagnostics we can do to try and determine the cause of the problem ? Is there a way to confirm/configure that we are indeed trying to do a data centric connection.
I am reading through the AT commands, but any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Hi Hein,
there is a related posting in the modemmanager-devel mailing list which indicates that an incorrect APN setting may be the main reason for the problem observed. Please check the AT+CGDCONT? output.
AT^SIND="ceer" might also give additional information about the cause of the problem.
Regards,
Reinhard

Thank you for the reply Reinhard, we have had some luck with updating the APN within the module, will look through that mailing list post too to ensure our fix is on the right track.
It seems like unfortunately each one of our devices will have to be manually updated, we can't work out a way to do it remotely without a data connection.
