Is there easy way to switch ON the Concept Board using external control signal example using signal generated over PC serial port? I need to switch ON the board in a place where there is no possible to push the START button and Concept Board cannot be switched ON in advance.
You can use the AUTO_ON line (can also be marked as ON2). When you connect this line to the ground the module will be turned on.
You can find some more descriptions in the EHS6 hardware description. On the concept board you can find the connection point to this line marked TP9 (near down left corner of the module). There's no connection pin but the point you can solder some connection to. This information can also be found in the concept board schematics document.
I am looking to achieve the same thing. I can see on the schematic auto_on (ON2) is connected to TP9. However my conecpt board does not have a TP9. I can see TP9 on photographs of other concept board, however my board has a resistor in the same location as TP9.
Could you please advise me of how I can connect to the AUTO_ON pad?
I've checked that the TP9 is present on the older version of concept board. And can be found on the schematics. But I also can't find it on the newer hardware version.
I've tested that I can wake up the module on newer harware version by connecting TP13 to the ground but I need to verify this with the documentation when I get the updated one.
I can see that the unit should be woken by connection TP13 to ground. In fact, until i investifated the auto_on signal this was the method i was using. However, occasionally this does not work and the system fails to wake up automatically when (battery) power is turned on.
Could you please advise me if there is a way to ensure the board turns on every time the power is brought up. (I'm guessing that this would have to be acheived by using the AUTO_ON signal). Is there any pad on the board where this can be accessed?

I have finally received the updated schematics.
And now in place of TP9 from the old version there is TP13 as we have already tested.
There's also a filter added.
