Starting up after power failure | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

I am having trouble understanding why after a power failure the BGS5T will automatically start up. I do not have the ignition line connected to the input voltage and I am aware of the watchdog settings for "always_on" however I have the watchdog disabled. If I shutdown manually using at^smso the module will turn off and stay off. If I flick the power supply off and on then the modem will boot up.
I was under the impression that without the ignition line connected to input voltage the unit should not turn on. Am I missing something here?
Thanks!
Hello,
According to the terminal's hardware description if the power supply is disconnected plugging the power supply between plus and ground boots up the module.
With ignition connected to plus the module would also reboot after AT^SMSO instead of shutting down.

Thanks. I had a feeling I was misunderstanding something in the hardware description.
