Replacing TC65 Terminal with PLS62T-W | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

I have more than 20 noise monitoring stations (noise monitoring instrument + controller + modem) using Cinterion TC65 Terminal via COM port for uploading data to servers. As 3G will no longer be available in UK some time next year, I am finding solutions to upgrade the 3G modem to 4G. I checked with the manufacturer but they advised that the monitoring station is no longer supported so I have to purchase brand new station rather than replacing the modem only.

I checked the user manual of the current model of the monitoring station and found out that it is using the PLS62T-W modem. Therefore, I bought 1 unit (the one with orange case) and hope that it may work in my old hardware. Obviously, it doesn't work just by replacing the modem. I don't want to give up yet so would appreciate if anyone can point me to the right direction. Thank you.
