Hi,
we use BGS5 GPRS Modules. we want to firmware update from FTP or HTTP addres. we can download this files to our PC but we can not download to our Modem. we received this message form BGS5 when we want to download to BGS5 "invalid JAR, the JAR file was not available under MIDlet-Jar-URL, files could not be extracted from JAR archive, or something else is wrong with the format of the file." . But we can download from another server same file. What our problem ? Thanks for your answer.
Hi,
Please check if the MIDlet-Jar-URL shows a proper path to the server. By default it points to the relative path which in most cases is just a jar file name. It should point exactly to the Http server which you use, together with the file name. In other words - you should be able to copy - paste this value to the browser and download the file.
Please also try to install this JAR&JAD on the module. Please keep in mind that in such a case MIDlet-Jar-URL should be relative, so no http server address but only a jar name.
Hope this will help you. Please let me know.
Best regards,
Michał
