Hi,
I tried to configure USB audio to a PH8-P REVISION 03.320 A-REVISION 01.000.06.
I have installed the latest driver to my Win 10 PC (Driver 6004).
First I configured the ^SCFG: "Serial/USB/Instances/Audio","1","1" and restarted with AT+CFUN=1,1.
I set the AT^SNFS=2 as only modes 2...8 are supported for USB audio.
Then I tried to configure the AT^SAIC=4 but got +CME ERROR: operation not allowed.
Tht default is now ^SAIC: 2,1,1,3,0,0,1.
Other port commands say:at^swwan?
OK
at^sdport?
^SDPORT: 6
What is the right way to configure the USB audio port?
Best Regards, Antero

Hello Antero,
This is quite a new feature. I haven't tried before.
I've tested with AHS3-W that I have on my desk and the same firmware and drivers versions. All the commands that you have listed were accepted and the USB sound is working.
I will also test with PH8-P later in the day.
Have you done more tests - is it still not working? Are you using the second RmNet interface - it is written that USB audio and second RmNet are mutually exclusive - maybe that is the reason.
Regards,
Bartłomiej
Hello Bartlomiej,
I re-installed the drivers, rebooted and now I have ^SNFS: 2 and ^SAIC: 4,1,1,3,0,0,1
PH8_USB_Audio.pdf
and the device manager shows Microphone (PH8) and Speakers (PH8).
I tried to call atdxxxxx; but I did not hear the voice, even I enabled the PH8 audio in the control panel.
It was possible to send a DTMF voice to my phone by AT+VTS="1".
Enclosed is a document with some screen dumps etc..
Best Regards, Antero

Hello,
So I don't need to test with PH8. The DTMF's are not played by the module, it only sends a request to the network and tones are played by the network operator's infrastructure.
I only did a simple test - I established a voice call, played some video on my PC and set the AHS3 as audio playing device for the player - then I was able to hear the voice in my phone. Somehow I was also able to hear on PC the voice from my phone. To use this USB device as the handset for the module some more configuration or software would be needed probably.

Bartłomiej
Hi everybody, this setting worked for my PHS8-P, REV. 03.320:
AT^SCFG="Serial/USB/Instances/Audio","1"
AT^SDPORT=4
AT+CFUN=1,1 (reboot)
now check if new Windows drivers are needed.
AT^SNFS=2
AT^SAIC=4
atd+49......; dial phone number
Windows 10 as well as Ubuntu show a PH8-audio device which simply works when making a call. For Ubuntu no special drivers are needed. The Ubuntu Sound mixer tool plays nice test sounds.
