No supported module found in Gemalto Imp Debug Connection Install Shield Wizard | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hi guys,
I have been trying to install the EHSx Software development kit. But The IMPDbgConnectionSetup always fails to detect my EHS5-E board. I am able to communicate with the board via COM port. I have tried :
- After closing the COM port
- After exiting Eclipse
-Turn off the firewall
But I always get the same failed installation on 'Repair' installation.
It asks me to turn on the device. I do everything as requested.
It ends up in this window everytime. No supported module found in Gemalto Imp Debug Connection Install Shield Wizard
I tried changing the DCD0, DSR0 and DTR0 from Gpio to std. But still no use.

My COM port and the EHSx Java Debug modem are both on COM3. Please revert.
Do you have other modems in the phones and modems list in windows? If so can you remove them and try again? Also please make sure that you are not keeping the terminal connection opened while trying to scan for debug module.

Michał
There are no other modems in the phones and modems list in windows. The terminal connection is closed while trying to scan for the debug module.
Thanks,

Hello,
Have you tried USB connection or only serial?
Can you check ATI1 reply?
Have you tried to delete all the debug connections before reinstallation?
Regards,
Bartłomiej
I have only tried ASC0 connection and not the USB connections.
Yes, I delete all the debug connections before installation. If I dont, it just creates a duplicate of the modem.
Problem solved after I changed the OS to Windows 7 32 bit!
Could you write what system version you have been using before?
Have you installed the JDK from the install CD?
Windows 8 is not officially supported, however some developers also use it successfully.
Initially I tried on a Windows 8 64bit PC with no success. Then realized that Windows 8 was not supported. I then tried installing the Gemalto Software Development Kit on a Windows 7 64bit PC. I faced the same issues as on the Windows 8 with the IMPDebugConnection.exe not detecting my board on the COM.
Yes, I did install the JDK (Java7 Update 25) from the install CD.
Generally this also works on 64 bit systems. So maybe there have been some issues with 32 and 64 bit java JDK's or system variables. But it's hard to say now.
However it's great that you got it working.
