Good morning,
We are integrating MC55i in a system based on a PC/104 carrier board. This appliance is intended to work H24/7days. The purpose is to send some telemetry data at regular intervals of time. We are encountering a very high number of module failure, allways of same kind, the module stop responding the data transfer on serial port. Later on we have a strange behaviour, the module seem to start but after 380mS show a off condition for about 20mS and then the cycle repeat itself forever, any suggestion ?
Thanks in advance
SZ
Hello,
Could you write some more information?
How is the module used to transfer data - is it PPP connection or IP services over AT commands? Do you have any log?
If I understand you correctly the module reboots and then the same problem occurs? How do you recognize it?
Is hardware flow control used on the serial interface?
Please also paste ATI1, and AT&V replies.
Thanks and best regards,
Bartłomiej
Hello,
The modules send continuously the following message at ASC0 57600 N81:
EXIT: 740F 08 00 EEFULL
and no answer to any AT commands.
How we can reflash the firmware on the module?
Please Help.
Best Regards, SZ
Hello,
If a module constantly reboots and it is not possible to send any AT command to it before it restarts, it will also not be possible to reflash it with gWinSwup application. In such case you should contact your supplier or local Gemalto M2M office and report that you have the broken module. There is a procedure to investigate it and replace the module.
If there are more modules that behave like that, it is also very likely that your application/design has contributed to this problem. For example the module may be frequently switched off by cutting off the power instead of performing the software switch-off (with AT command) which might potentially lead to to some data **********.
