Hello,
several time we receive a bad value of "144" dbm in the BCCH field of the AT^SMONI AT-Command during 2G data connections:
AT TX ( 8): AT^SMONI
AT TX ( 1): <cr>
AT RX (11): <cr><ln>^SMONI: 2
AT RX (11): G,986,144,2
AT RX (11): 62,03,C7D7,
AT RX (11): 32A1,58,58,
AT RX (11): 3,1,-,LIMSR
AT RX ( 3): V<cr><ln>
AT RX ( 1): <cr>
AT RX ( 5): <ln>OK<cr><ln>
Syntax according to the manual:
Syntax:
^SMONI:
ACT,ARFCN,BCCH,MCC,MNC,LAC,cell,C1,C2,NCC,BCC,GPRS,PWR,RXLev,ARFCN,TS,timAdv,dBm,Q,ChMod
Example:
^SMONI: 2G,673,-89,262,07,4EED,A500,16,16,7,4,G,5,-107,LIMSRV
BCCH:
BCCH Receiving level of the BCCH carrier in dBm (level is limited from -110dBm to -47dBm)
What is the reason for this out-of-range value?
Best regards,
Sebastian
Hi Sebastian,
In AT^SMONI response the BCCH value of 144 can be sometimes observed in 2G, in special circumstances, e.g. when the command is called when our module performs network measurements or during cell reselection. Please ignore this value in your application and BCCH value will change back to a correct value afterwards.
BR,
Ida
Hello,
thanks for the reply. We will handle the case as you proposed.
