Internet service profile setup problem with PLS63 | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hello,
we are experimenting with a pre released PLS63-W (Version 01.002) and have a problem with setting the internet service profile via a multiplexer channel. When sending the command:
AT^SISS=1,"srvType","Socket"
to the module, it does not respond. It seems that the channel crashes, as it does not respond to any further command. The crash also happens with the command:
AT^SISS?
Before sending this command, other ones (e.g. AT+CREG? or AT^SICA?) are working fine. When sending this command without multiplexer, it is working normally.
We tried it with the multiplexer channels 1 and 3 as channel 2 is already configured for NMEA.
In our application, we need the three multiplexer channels for AT commands (SMS), transparent data traffic and NMEA. With other modules (e.g. PHS8, PLS8) this is working fine.
Is there a workaround for this problem or will it be fixed in official releases later.
Thanks in advance and best regards
Heinz
Hello,
I found this information in the release note for the current FW. So it is already known.
I'll try to get more information about it.

Hello,
we found another problem. When Starting the GNSS receiver like described in AT command set 16.5.3. (Starting GNSS without aiding), the module output VGNSS does not switch on the antenna power supply. We tried it with "Power/Antenna","on" and "Power/Antenna","auto". And we tried with and without multiplexer.
And there is something odd with the multiplexer startup messages. All former modules we used (AGS2, PH8, PHS8, PLS8) are setting the C/R bit in the address field to 1. But PLS63 sets it to 0. It is not really a problem for us at the moment. But we would like to know, if this behavior will be kept for the lifetime of the module or if it might to be changed later. By the way, we think PLS63 handles it the right way and the former modules are wrong.
Thanks and best regards
Heinz
Hello,
What HW do you use with the module? Active antenna ***** an external power supply circuit.
As for C/R bit if we can consider this as a fix to the previous implementations it will most probably stay like that. But I can't give you any guarantee.
As for the SISS issue I don't have any news yet.

Bartłomiej
Hello,
we use an active antenna feeding like figure 20 in pls63_pls83_hid_v01002. VGNSS of the module controls a LDO. We use PLS8 with the same layout and that is working fine.

Heinz
Hello,
Could you please check the firmware version with ATI1 command?
Do you have USB connected? I consulted with HW college and learnt that there was an issue with antenna power related to USB - it did not work if USB wasn't connected.
I should be fixed now but I need to check the FW version.

Hello,
the response to ATI1:
Cinterion
PLS63-W
REVISION 01.002
A-REVISON 01.000.05
USB is not connected.
Best regards
Heinz
Hello,
Both problems: with multiplexer and antenna power are already fixed. But the software with these fixes is not yet officially released.
So the next official firmware release will contain both fixes. But for now I don't know when it will be available.
Best regards,
Bartłomiej
Hello,
thank you for the informations.
