Failed to connect remote debugging device! | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hello.
I know there's been a lot of talk about this. But I still can not find the solution.
I followed the instructions on the CD for the installation of the SDK.
Even try the manual installation.
Eclipse keeps giving me the error "Failed to connect remote debugging device! "
Enable the traffic on 192.168.244.1 and 192.168.244.2 on the firewall. I have even disabled the firewall and the antivirus.
I have my configuration like this:
^ SCFG: "Gpio / mode / DCD0", "std"
^ SCFG: "Gpio / mode / DSR0", "std"
^ SCFG: "Gpio / mode / DTR0", "std"
As indicated in the manual.
I have the telephone line in the module.
My operating system is: Windows 7 Ultimate. Service Pack 1.
One module is:
ATI1
Cinterion
EHS6
REVISION 03.001
A-REVISION 00.000.31
Another module is:
ATI1
Cinterion
EHS6
REVISION 03.001
A-REVISION 00.000.51
attached file of the module, where you can see the log when debugging starts.
I do not know what else to do. if you can help me I would be grateful.
at the moment I test the applications by installing them manually.
Thank you.
Hello,
Could you paste the complete output from Eclipse?
Do you have the Cinterion software package dedicated to the firmware version of your moudle?
Please make sure that the device name configured for the project ends with REMOTE1.
The message you have pasted suggests fhe filrewall problems but if you're sure that it is not the case here there myst be something else.
It looks like the debug dial-up connection is established. Please try to reset the module, make sure that the debug session in Eclipse is stopped, close OJMEE in system tray and try again. Please paste AT^SCFG? output.
Regards,
Bartłomiej

the OJMEE icon does not stay static, appears and disappears several *****
Hello,
This output is typical for firewall problems. So it is strange because you have disabled it. That's why I wanted you to reset everything (including stopping OJMEE, which starts when you ryn debug for the first time and stays up).
We also have an experience with Win10 that disabling filrewall may not be enough and it is necessary to change the firewall rule for java.exe to allow TCP connections for public profile. You don't have Win10 but you could also verify this. To do this you can type 'firewall' in search engine and run 'Windows Firewall' control panel. Then go to 'Advanced settings' on the left bar and go to 'Inbound Rules' on the left bar, look for Java(TM) Platform SE binary Public Profile using TCP Protocol and go to it’s Properties. In a pop-up window in the 'General' tab switch 'Action' to 'Allow the connection' and apply the change.
Best regards,
Bartłomiej
I will try to try another pc, to see if I can connect it. and I tell you.
Hello Bartłomiej,
I tested on a computer with windows 10.
It is not very compatible with Windows 10, but I did not have another option for now.
I keep giving error.
The icon OJMEE does remain stable in the system.
so if I keep trying I can get it on this computer, or so I think.
but before continuing to try, I wanted to ask you:
If the telephone line is not properly configured, could it give problems in the eclipse depuration?
in that case. Is there a way to test if it is well configured?
thank you for help.
Hello,
Does it mean that in Win10 you get exactly the same error?
I'm not sure what you mean by 'telephone line is not properly configured'. Could you crarify what exactly is the problem here. If the IP connection for remote debugginh has the write modem set and the connection is started by OJMEE and active, then it is most probably configured correctly.
Regards,
Bartłomiej
ok, thank you.
yes, I have the same error with windows 10.
but...
in w10 the OJMEE icon appears to me.
and in w7 the OJMEE icon does not last for 1 second, it disappears right away.
To be sure about OJMEE it could be better to also check if the process is running or not.
As for the 2nd system - was it any standard fresh Windows or the system provided by your IT? If so, have you consulted this issue with IT - maybe there's something they know about the possible reasons.
