Hi
I want the CINTERION ELS81 board to communicate with MCU Uart instead of any terminal.
So I have used TXD0, RXD0 and GND with baurate 115200 and disable hardware handshake using AT\Q0 command but I dont get any reply from the module.
Attaching the configuration details.
Kindly help.

SS
Hello,
Please write what hardware you use with the module - is it your HW or Gemalto and what kind. Do you connect ASC0 or ASC1? The configuration you pasted looks fine.

Hi,
I have interfaced LPC 54618 MCU RX with the TXD0 and TX with the RXD0 of the DSB-MINI headers.GND is common but I am not getting response from the module for "ATI1\r".
Please find the image below.
I am using ASC0.

Hello,
I think that the problem is that you have soldered RS232 lines to the pins on the adapter board and did not connect to RS232 connectors on DSB-Mini. Module's RS232 interface is 1.8V and your MCU is probably 3V. There are level shifters on DSB-Mini.

Hi,
So how to proceed?
I have measured the voltage at TXD0 and RXD0 of DSB-MINI and it is 2.9 volt.
I want the module to communicate with the MCU so kindly guide.
regards
SS
Have you measured in RS232 connector or somewhere on the board?
Have you tried to connect PC to ant RS232 on the board? Was it communicating?
I have measured the voltage at the point where I soldered the Pins i.e TXD0 and RXD0 and its 2.9 V.
The module is communicating with the PC using terminal TERA-TERM and DB9 connector.
Have you measured the voltage while MCU was soldered to RS232? You may have measured MCU voltage level.
Please also make sure if you have connected TXD and RXD properly. Based on the conventions for DCE-DTE connections the module (DCE) communicates with the customer application (DTE) using the following signals:
- TXD - application sends data to the module’s TXD signal line
- RXD - application receives data from the module’s RXD signal line
Answer is NO. Just the DSB-MINI board is powered on.
I have tried your suggestion but no response.
Again I will try and update here.
Still no response.
MCU TXD waveform when gemalto is not connected.
MCU TXD when gemalto is connected.
Do I have to modify anything manually or using AT commands to make it work?
Any other suggestion to make this module communicate with the MCU.
Hello,
The module configuration looks correct.
I think that you should make sure that ASC0 interface of DSB-mini is working correctly by connecting it to PC and after that use the same interface on DSB-mini to connect to your MCU.
