ELS61 Not reconnecting to mobile operator after it has disconnected. | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hi,
I have been observing some strange behaviour on my ELS61 module in which it will disconnect from the network either due to no signal or in tests unplugging the antenna waiting 15 seconds and reconnecting.
The module will then sit there flicking between CREG: 0, CREG: 2 and strangely enough CREG: 3 which would indicate it is attempting a connection with something but being denied.
The only way I can get the module out of this state without restarting is to fire the AT+COPS=0 which will then reconnect my module after a number of seconds (30 normally).
What is going on here is there a bug with the module getting stuck and not actually attempting to reconnect just flicking between states ? Or is it connecting to an emergency network that we need to disable from happening?
Another question would be how do I fix it to only attempt connections to specific mobile operators?
Thanks,
James
Hello,
Can you provide 'ATI1' and 'AT^SCFG?' replies? Does this happen always or sometimes only or in certain area only? Do you have 4G SIM card? Please also check 'AT^SMONI' command while this happens. Please also check 'AT+CEER' output. Is there a home network available?
You can manually select the operator with 'AT+COPS' command.
