EHS6T - USB Serial Port dies after AT+CFUN=1,1 | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

If I issue an AT+CFUN=1,1 (soft reset) command to an EHS6T modem the connected USB serial port is dropped and I can not open the serial port again with out a power cycle of the EHS6T (hard reset).
Is this normal behavior for the USB serial port interface on the EHS6T modem ?
I get an OK answer from the AT+CFUN=1,1 but after that the modem does not respond to AT commands and there is no ^SYSSTART shown.
If I issue an AT+CFUN=0 (shutdown) I get the OK and ^SHUTDOWN shown fine.
It seems like the AT+CFUN=1,1 is not working properly.
I have firmware revision:
ati
Cinterion
EHS6
REVISION 02.000
Hi,

Hello Jure
Thank you for your reply.
We would like to avoid having to unplug USB cable or power cycle the modem, since it is used in a server environment that is supposed to be unattended.

Hello,
The usb connections should be disconnected on PC side while the module is rebooted.
You don't need to unplug the cable but disconnecting the port after CFUN should be enough.

If you leave a connection to the USB port open and power cycle the modem the USB ports are also unusabe. In my opinion this is one of the major drawbacks of this module during development.
