EHS6T GPRS DNS Lookups, etc | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hi,
I've got two EHS6T modules, running slightly different firmware but the newer firmware isn't working as well as the older firmware. Has anyone seen anythiing similar?
Key problems are
a) the module won't use the DNS settings returned by the GPRS connection
b) the module won't use a jad file to find a jar file in a directory - it works if the jar file is in the root dir
c) the module is fussy about connecting the USB cable to a PC AFTER the module is started - if you restart the module then it looses USB connection
The working module reports as
at^sjam=4
^SJAM: "a:/Weltech_EHS6T.jad","Weltech_EHS6T MIDlet Suite","Weltech","2.0.0",1,57471,0
^SJAM: "a:/JRC-1.56.42.jad","Java Remote Control MIDlet Suite","Cinterion","1.56.42",1,754015,0
OK

Cinterion
EHS6
REVISION 03.001
A-REVISION 00.000.42

The not-working module reports as
at^sjam=4
^SJAM: "a:/Weltech_EHS6T.jad","Weltech_EHS6T MIDlet Suite","Weltech","2.0.0",1,57453,0
^SJAM: "SLAE.jad","SL Agent Module Services","Gemalto M2M GmbH","2.1.1",0,422843,0
^SJAM: "a:/JRC-1.56.54.jad","Java Remote Control MIDlet Suite","Cinterion","1.56.54",1,789491,0

REVISION 03.001
A-REVISION 00.000.51

Any suggestions?
Many thanks,

Hello,
a) Could you write some more details about the problem? There is currently one thread on the forum about a strange problem with DNS servers but they are using A-REVISION 00.000.42. And I wasn't able to reproduce this problem - everything was working fine.
b) Please add more details how you install the files and what's in the jad file.
c) In all EHS6 versions if you restart the module while there is an open connection in Windows the module becomes unavailable on USB until you reconnect the cable. If you close all USB connections to the module before rebooting you'll be able to open it again after the reboot.
Best regards,
