EHS6 powering up | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hello! My question is regarding the methods of turning on the EHS6 module. I am designing a board and debating between these 2 methods of turning on the module:
1) Having the power supply constantly applied, and pulling AUTO_ON low to start up the module. My question regarding this method is, can I reliably power off the module by then pulling AUTO_ON high again?
2) Wiring AUTO_ON permanently low, and turning on/off the power supply to turn the EHS6 on/off.
In addition to the question in the first scenario, I'm wondering if there is a more reliable/better method between these two.
Thanks for any advice on this,
-Jordan
Hello,
You can turn on the module by pulling AUTO_ON low but you will not power it down by driving it high again.
To turn the module off it is enough to temporarily disconnect the module‘s BATT+ lines. If the AUTO_ON is permanently pulled low it will restart.
You can find more in the EHS6 hardware description document.
