EHS5 debug problem | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hello.
I have a problem with ehs5 aka Cinterion.
It's been almost 3 days of my struggling with it.
I managed to control it with AT commands via com port but i want to deploy and debug my middlets.
I couldn't find manual for EHS5.
0.Do you have any open docs at your site?
I followed manual in "Java User's Guide" version: 01 for BGS5 (Can't find for EHS5. ).
Windows7x64 + jdk1.7.0_25(32bit)
Switch off windows firewall.
I Setup eclipse Juno, setup cinterion SDK which added plugin to eclipse.
And after that I tried to debug "Hello world" example without success.
I can open module in windows explorer via port.
I can send AT commands via port.
I can not debug with eclipse or netbeans.
1.Do I do something wrong? Please, point it out.

Hello,
Generally your Gemalto distributor should be able to provide you with any documentation or software (you already have the installation package and Java User's Guide which contains the complete description of how to install the software and run/debug the MIDlet application). Also AT Commands Specification document would be important to start with the module.
You can also find some more documents here: https://iot-developer.thalesgroup.com/documentation/download-documentati...
You should change the following settings from "gpio" to "std":
^SCFG: "Gpio/mode/DCD0","gpio"
^SCFG: "Gpio/mode/DSR0","gpio"
^SCFG: "Gpio/mode/DTR0","gpio"
^SCFG: "Gpio/mode/RING0","gpio"
You should be using IMP_NG_EHS5_REMOTE1 for running/debugging from Eclipse or Netbeans IDE.
The firewall should be disabled and or properly configured to not block the debug traffic.
SIM card should be inserted and PIN disabled.
Please write if you still have any problem.
Best regards,
Bartłomiej
Hello, Bartlomiej.
Thank you for your attention.
I've changed "gpio" to "std" , inserted SIM card. PIN is disabled.
Sat same baud rate in modem settings and in network settings (115200 baud).
Firewall is down.
tried run debug with device IMP_NG_EHS5_REMOTE1, but still got same thing
"

"
I don't know why it tells me "Please insert a SIM and disable PIN lock". I already did so.
Can I debug without SIM card in the device?
Should i some how register the IMP_NG_EHS5_REMOTE1 device in emulator.exe or somewhere else? in OJMEE Device manager?
Did not find anything about registration in the manuals.
Sorry for bothering you. Thanks.
Hello,
SIM card is needed for debugging to work. Please check with AT+CPIN? if the SIM is really visible by the module.
You should not need to register anything, all should be done automatically during the installation.
I don't think that it matters but you could change the ^SCFG: "Userware/Autostart/Delay" to default 0. Now the JRC starts with 100s delay.
What version of installation CD have you installed?
Please check if "IP connection for remote debugging of EHSx" does not have any #1 or similar in the name.
Please check if the correct modem port is used by the "IP connection for remote debugging of EHSx".
Close the OJMEE (should be visible in the tray after activation of debugging) reboot the module, make sure that the port is accessible and not used by a terminal and try again.
Regards,
Bartłomiej
Hello,
Thank you so much for helping.
Set AT^SCFG: "Userware/Autostart/Delay","0".
in setup.ini:
Version=1.00.000
"IP connection for remote debugging of EHSx":
Connect using: Modem - Cinterion EHS5 Java Debug Modem USB (COM8)
Phone number: *88#
Maximum speed (bps): 115200 (same as in device manager in "Cinterion EHS5 Java Debug Modem USB)
AT+CPIN?
+CME ERROR: SIM not inserted
Seems problem in SIM card.
I inserted card with disabled PIN.
Module can't see it.
Is there any command that can help it?
Maybe gpio configuration.
does it look like hardware problem?
Sorry for bothering you. Thanks.
Hello,
You shouldn't need to modify the maximum speed of the modem. It should work with default settings.
As installation CD version I meant the zip file name like for example "ehsx_rev03.001_arn0000051_install-cd" or " ehsx_rev03.001_arn0000014_install-cd".
But it seems that the main problem here is the SIM interface and it seems to be a hardware problem. Are you using any developer board, terminal or the proprietary hardware? Or maybe the SIM is damaged.

Bartłomiej
