Hi,
I'm using PLAS9 module on android pie with gemalto RIL 1610.
After rebooting the device most of the ***** data connection is not established. from the logs

Here everytime SWWAN is failing for activating pdp context.
Please suggest.

Does it mean that the connection is working and then the module is rebooted and it does not work any more or it just usually doesn't work after each powering up?
The RIL version is correct. But according to the information I have found is officially supports Android versions up to 8.0 (data only). However I don't know if this may be a problem here. The log is quite short and does not show any previous configurations. Can you verify if the module is registered to the network when this happens? Maybe the network coverage is bad. Can you try if it's possible to start the connection manually with AT commands? Please also provide ATI1 reply. Are any other network connections used on the module?

This is happening randomly after reboot only. like we powered on the device and after getting network and data we rebooted it, then once the board is up there is no data and its not recoverable with airplane mode on/off also.We used the same RIL on android 8 and there data works but on pie only we are facing this issue.
At the same place in another setup with android 8 data is working after every reboot.

Hello,
As I have written before this RIL supports Android up to version 8 (data only in case of 8). Your experience with versions 8 and 9 seem to confirm this.
In the log there is module REVISION 01.004 while you have pasted REVISION 01.000 in your reply - so you probably have more than one PLAS9 version.
In the log I can see in SMONI replies that it looks like there is already some connection as a dedicated channel is assigned. You could compare with Android 8 log to verify if there is any difference. There are also some exceptions displayed in the log.
Android 9 support is probably already being prepared. I think that if version 9 support is crucial, you could contact your local Gemalto M2M technical sales or distributor with this problem. Maybe they will provide you with a solution or timeline.
