Couldn't connect to TLS 1.2 Server with EHS5-E | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

This problem is much related to the following topic
https://iot-developer.thalesgroup.com/threads/couldnt-connect-tls-12-server-bgs2-w
It is the same case. Using EHS5-E, while I'm able to connect to servers that accepts TLS versions with versions lower that 1.2, trying with a server that forces TLS 1.2 doesn't succeed.
Each time I receive the following error
^SIS: 0,0,50,"Fatal: Service has detected an internal error"
Knowing that the modem revision details is EHS5-E, REVISION 02.000, A-REVISION 00.000.19.
- What the TLS version supported by the modem?
- What it is the cipher suites list that is supported for this modem?
- If there is a newer firmware image for the modem that fixes the issue, How to get it? and How to update the modem firmware?
Hello,
This module should support TLS 1.2. The cipher suites list is quite long and may very a bit depending on the firmware revision.
Revision 2 is quite old now. So if you have problems you could update to revision 3, especially that there was an updata of TLS libraries then. For revision 4 you'd need a new hardware.
You can find the supposted cipher suites list in Java User's Guide document for the particular firmware revision. You can find these documents here: https://iot-developer.thalesgroup.com/documentation/download-documentati...
I can send you the firmware if you want to try.

Bartłomiej
