BGS5 connectivity with Controller and Audio Codec | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hi,
I am going to communicate the BGS5 GSM module with controller and audio codec,
for that, I am going to use a V180 voltage source for voltage translator to UART communication with the controller and the same voltage source for audio codec. So my questions are,
1. Is it sufficient to drive both communications?
2 If not, then should I connect different voltage regulator for 1V8 rail.
Please suggest me some circuit for that. Codec: ***9860 and microcontroller STM32F1
Thanks,
Rajat
Hello,
V180 can give up to 10mA. So it depends on the components.
As for level shifters we do not recommend the 'automatic' ones like TXB0108 or similar as they might overload the modules IO.
You could consider something like:

or:

I can send you some example for NAU8822.
BGS5 hardware description mentions W681360. You can find some simple schematic in HD description for EHS6. See here: https://iot-developer.thalesgroup.com/documentation/download-documentati...
Additionally you can check this example: https://iot-developer.thalesgroup.com/tutorial/audio-codec-board-2g3g-te...
