BGS5 - connecting to module by MES not working | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hello.
I am running new application on a new BGS5 module. Since now, I was using BGS5 ver. 1, and it worked well. After moving to BGS v. 2 I have a communication error while trying to upload files over MES.
Communication over RS in console works fine, although seems slower than v. 1. Some responses:

Any clues, ideas what else can I check?
Hello,
Is it possible to execute AT commands on the interface that you use for MES? Is it USB or ASC0? Does the problem occur on MES connection or only when you try to upload files? Is it always the same file or different files? Is there enough space on FFS? Have you tried to replace the cable, reboot module, restart MES etc. or even PC? I'm not sure if this may matter but you could also reinstall MES (from the installation CD package for the new module).
Please also check if hardware flow control is active on the module (in case of RS232) with AT&V command (AT\Q3 to activate).
Regards,
Bartłomiej
Hello.
Yes, it is possible to execute AT commands both on USB and ASC0, although I use ASC0 as main comm connection to our board.
Error occurs while I try to enter module through MES, not during file transfer, so it does not depend on file size. Also file space on module is big enough, since no file has been uploaded.
I tried to replace the cable, reboot module, restart and even reinstall MES.
\Q3 profile is active.
I am starting to suspect that it is some hardware error on our main board... Maybe pcb or soldering is not correct...
Regards,
Marcin
Please try to use USB for MES to make sure that it is not related to the MES installation.
MES ***** RTS/CTS flow control. Maybe you are using a USB/RS232 converter which is causing these problems. But on the other hand if AT commands are working, MES shouls probably also be working. Please make sure that the interface is not being used by a terminal program for example at the same time. You might try some RS232 tracing tool or software to see the traffic.

Bartłomiej
Seems that we solved the problem. The reason was wrong capacitors used with rs232 level converter. After fixing that - everything works. Thanks for Your suggestions!
