Hi,
For a long time I have been using a device (Natural Gas Volume Corrector) that manages the BGS2T device with AT commands.
I am communicating with my Natural gas volume corrector device (ModBus protocol) via BGS2T.
I want to switch to 3G or 4G due to the problems experienced in GPRS.
bought the EHS5T terminally PLS62T. But I could not communicate with both.
When I watched the communication between the Natural Gas volume correction device and EHS5T over RS485 communication, I noticed that there was an error in the AT+GMR command in the figure below.
AT+GMR function is valid for BGS2T but not for EHS5T and PLS62T. I found that AT+CMGR for EHS5T and PLS62T have the same function, but I do not have the opportunity to change the commands of the Natural gas volume corrector.
How can I resolve this situation?

I compiled your Custom AT Command project to test it on the device. But since I had 3G devices (EHS5T and EHS6T USB) rel 3, I could not operate it.
I was about to work on the 4G (PLS62T) device so I noticed that AT+GMR command was running on the PLS62T terminal. I haven't tested it before.
Note: There is no information that AT+GMR command is supported in PLS62T AT command sets.
Then I continued my tests with the PLS62T. I saw that the Natural Gas volume corrector put the modem into PPP mode. I could see the static ip address of the sim card on the screen of the device. But I saw 12 error codes occur on the device screen.
Error code 12:
Unable to dial GPRS or GSM/CSD, or already established connection fails for error reasons (modem responds “NO CARRIER”, “BUSY” or “NO DIALTONE”)
The data that the Natural Gas volume corrector sends to the modem is as follows. Note: I cannot listen to the answers given by the modem.
What could be my problem?

Hello,
Yes, on revision 3 the custom AT commands would not work.
From the functional perspective +GMR and +CGMR are the equivalent. Officially CGMR is supported. But it is possible that GMR was implemented by the chip vendor and not blocked by us.
It is now something in PPP layer. Have you configured everything that is needed like APN, user, password? You may try to also sett the authentication type if with AT^SGAUTH needed in your network.

I'm sure the APN information is correct and I can see the static ip address on the device screen.
AT ^ SGAUTH is not used for the network.
An interesting situation occurred in the morning. The modem could not connect to the internet for about 8 hours. Then it started to automatically connect to the internet.
The device has been accessible for 2 hours. What could be the reason for this?
If it connected the configuration is probably correct. So maybe the signal quality was poor.

Hello,
This data is not really readable. After ATD command your device communicates with the module with PPP protocol. To be able to decode it you would have to connect a protocol analyzer. You could also connect the module to a PC and do some tests. You might be able to succeed to catch PPP communication with Wireshark. But may not be the same as there is a different PPP client on PC and your device.
But if you have problems please start from catching some data you are able to collect with AT commands - at least please check if the module is registered to the network and if the link quality is not too bad. Please try these for start: AT+CREG?, AT+COPS?, AT^SMONI, AT+CGDCONT?, AT^SCFG?, AT+CEER (after the fail).

Hello,
In the log it looks that the module is registered and the signal quality is not bad. But there was probably the context deactivation request sent by the module.
Was the module connected to PC or your device? There are 2 contexts defined with at+CGDCONT. Are both used? Please check AT+CGACT? output. The network may not support multiple connections to the single APN.
It would be a good test to try with a different SIM.
BTW "Userware/Autostart" is et to 0. This probably does not matter in this situation but it means that the factory JRC MIDlet is not started. This MIDlet provides some AT commands implementation and without it your app can be getting errors in reply.
