BGS2-W (auto answer) | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

I have a problem with BG2-W modem, ATS0=1 is ignoring PSTN voice call. Even I hung up the incoming call it won't respond as "NO CARRIER". I just receive RING characters. Only works with manual "ATA" answer.
But when I initiate a CSD call, auto answer is working fine.
Hi,
BGS2 only will autoanswer DATA CSD Calls.

Somewhere over the rainbow!!! Looking for the Oz Land!!!
We did also a test calling by mobile phone.
My colleague which is on other country.
My incoming call type is VOICE. (output from AT+CRC=1)
His incoming call type is REL ASYNC which is ATS0=1 will enable to answer.
Is there anyway to force answer just reading the RING character?
If not why is not implemented to auto-answer voice?
Thank you Alopez! Appreciated your help!
Hello,
Could you write if your colleague has been using the same module and if the voice call was really established and it was possible to talk? Have you also been using a mobile phone to call his module?
I'm afraid that the only way for automatic answering of voice calls would be to implement this in the user software.

Hi, please, what the difference from Voice and DATA call?
i call from US robotics 56k fax modem, ad cinterion BGS2t configured ATS0=2, on serial monitor i see the RING incoming call, but not automatic answer., someone can help me please ?
Hello,
please answer this call manually and check with command:
AT+CLCC
if it's DATA / FAX / VOICE call
The difference is how UE/NW indicates type of call when trying to establish it.
UE/NW then properly configures audio filters/generators to have best match for task (human voice transfer or CSD data transfer or FAX transfer)
