Hello experts,
I would like to configure Automatic Power On fuction which requires VDDLP voltage. Is this VDDLP comming directly from the own ELS61E?
I have no clear where is it comming from?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Pablo.
Hello,
VDDLP line is for powering the module's Real Time Clock when BATT+ is not present. There can be a capacitor or battery connected to this line. It will be charged via VDDLP line while the module is powered on and RTC will be powered from the battery connected to VDDLP while the module is not powered.
You can find more about RTC backup in the hardware interface description document for the module.
Best regards,
Bartłomiej
Thanks Bartłomiej,
I understood, we don't need to keep the RTC. We just include the circuit recomended for the Automatic power On feature and we would like to know if the VDDLP is comming from the module and we don't need to do anything else.
Best regards,
Pablo.
Hello,
Yes, you can use VDDLP. It is powered on after the power is connected to BATT+. You don't need any external power source.
