ELS61-E: error on CMGL command issued from java midlet | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hi there
I have developed a java midlet and installed it on the ELS61-E module. The problem is that when it is issuing the command:
AT+CMGL="REC UNREAD"
it receives the answer:
+CMS ERROR: invalid text mode parameter
The same command, issued from a serial console connected to the module, works perfectly.
This is the initialization sequence I send to the module:
AT command: [AT&F] response = OK
AT command: [ATE0] response = ATE0
OK
AT command: [AT^SLED=2,50] response = OK
AT command: [AT+CMGF=1] response = OK
AT command: [at+cnmi=2,1,0,0,1] response = OK
AT command: [AT+CMEE=2] response = OK
AT command: [AT^SXRAT=0,0] response = OK
AT command: [AT^SCFG="Userware/Watchdog", "1"] response = ^SCFG: "Userware/Watchdog","1"
OK
AT command: [AT&W] response = OK
And this is the answer to the ATI1 command:
Cinterion
ELS61-E R2
REVISION 02.000
A-REVISION 01.000.02
Thank you for your help.
Best regards
Marco
Hello,
This issue is related to AT commands execution from Java MIDlet. The problem here is that the space is removed from "REC UNREAD" parameter and that is why the command execution fails. This is happening for all AT commands executed via Java. But the list of affected commands is very limited as space is really sporadically used in AT commands parameters. It should be fixed in the future. The possible workaround would be to list "ALL" and then filter.
Best regards,
Bartłomiej
Hi Bartlomiej,
thank you very much. I have just tried the workaround and it is working now.
Do you know when this problem will be fixed ?
Or, is there something such a revision history to see what is changed in a new release ?
Best regards,
Marco
Hello,
Unfortunately I don't have any precise information about the firmware version which will contain the fix for this.
Each firmware version has a release note document with some information about improvements, new features, known issues etc.
Best regards,
Bartłomiej
