What is it? And how repare it?
Hello,
If the module exits on start there must be a serious problem. Is there anything special that you have been doing with this module? Are there any peripherals connected? Do you have other terminals that are working? Please make sure that the power supply is fine.
Anyway if it exits just after stay and there is no possibility to send any AT command there's not much you can do.
I think that you could contact your local Gemalto office and ask for replacement.
Regards,
Bartłomiej
I understand that this is a serious problem, but maybe I can solve it.
A small note: the answer of the module to the command AT-> OK
other -> ERROR
the documentation says "Hardware Watchdog", maybe it works.
Other my modules work in these conditions.
Regards,
Adacs
You could check if it doesn't return error to AT^SFDL command which is used for firmware download. If not you could try to use gWinSwup application to load the firmware again. That could help if this is not a hardware problem.
Regards,
Bartłomiej
The module responds to this command "error".
it seems there is not a software problem.
Thank you for your help
In fact you can't be sure but you will also not be able to check this because you will not load the firmware by yourself.
Regards,
Bartłomiej
Hi
I have the same problem on BGS2-W.I have some module in this state.
They countinusly restart when the module has +3.7V on "ON" pin and powered with 4.4V on "VBAT".
When I check "2.8V pin" I found: 2.8V with 500ms width and after, 20ms with 0V and in countinusly repeat.
I have not "gWinSwup application" and last firmware, did you test it on your module? does it works?
There are 6 logs from 6 different module at the end of this comment, I cannot understand the meaning of this digits?!?

Hello,
How many modules are failing in this way? Is is some certain part or all?
Is the hardware already finished and working in the field or is it still in development state?
Maybe your hardware design ***** a review. I'm not really HW oriented but according to the HW spec the maximum voltage on ON pin is VDDLP + 0.5V where VDDLP is around 2.3V.
These EXIT codes are only meaningful for module developers.
Best regards,
Bartłomiej
Hi Bartłomiej
Yes BGS2-W is use in product side, and they are working for 1 or 2 year(s).
About ON signal, I check high signal of ON, and it was a little less than 2V.in my last comment I sould use high signal. ;)
I do not care much about hardware design, Because our products are working in various place, But I will check hardware with documents again.
I think EXIT code can help us to find what happends on module, could you connect me to module developers for follow this proplem?
in parallel, I don't know what happends for Adascs's modules, but I can test for installing firmware or flush current module or what ever you think can help.
Yours sincerely
Hello,
These codes are internal only and only useful for developers as they point to the place in code where the abnormal situation happened.
You can try firmware update, it may help sometimes in case of exit. I can send you the firmware but please write what firmware version you are using. You can check it on a working module with ATI1 command.
But generally in case of continuous restart and EXIT we can't do much on the forum especially that these modules were working in the field for some time so we may suppose that the hardware is more or less correct. I think that you should report it to your supplier or local Gemalto office. There is a possibility to get the modules replaced if it turned out that it is the module's fault. It is also possible to request the hardware design review.
Best regards,
Bartłomiej
Hello
I test "ATI1" command on our 10 devices, from different batchs and all of them return this string:
Cinterion
BGS2-W
REVISION 01.301
A-REVISION 01.000.03
Yours sincerely
