[Solve] [EHS6] Wrong answer format when "RING" and "ATV0" | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hello,
We have notice that the EHS6 with firmware version 3.001, is not sending correct answer on serial in this case :
1/ Set "ATV0" to the modem in order to get short answer response.
2/ Make a call to the EHS6 and wait for RING information. RING shortcode is "2".
3/ Output on the serial link is : <CR><LF>2<CR><LF>
This is wrong.
According AT command guide (Chapter 2.5) the output must be : <numeric code><CR>
Furthermore, we have tested with different chipset (BGS5, and old TC65i) and they are working well, as expected.
Is this a bug in EHS6 firmware ?
This is very important for us, in order to upgrade old modem to this new one, without rewritting any line of code (this is not possible due to large amount of system everywhere in the world).
Thank you for your feedback.
Hello,
Could you please provide the full firmware version of EHS6 and BGS5 (ATI1 command response)?
Thank you,
Bartłomiej
Hello,
====== For EHS6 ========
Here is ATI1 answer :
-----------------------------------
ATI1
Cinterion
EHS6
REVISION 03.001
A-REVISION 00.000.14
OK
--------------------------------
And here is screen capture of my realterm terminal on which we can see CR/LF characters.
You can see the difference between ATV1 and ATV0 mode when I call the modem:
====== For BGS5 ========
ATI1
Cinterion
BGS5
REVISION 01.100
A-REVISION 00.000.19
--------
Good behaviour in terminal in ATV1 and ATV0. End of line are correct according documentation.
Thank you for your feedback.
Hello,
Thank you for these details.
Your EHS6 firmware is quite old. Currently the latest officail version is A-REVISION 00.000.51. I have tested with my module and the reply is correct.
Best regards,
Bartłomiej
