Hi all,

       We are using Cinterion® EHS8 module for our machine. we use it to connect mobile data and AGPS, but we have a probem: Cinterion® EHS8 can connect data and AGPS; after 2-3 hours working, Cinterion® EHS8 lose AGPS signal, no satellite is connected, we do not move while testing; if we reinit GPS, it will work.

       So, what is problem with Cinterion® EHS8? I have tested with GPS mode, it still the same problem.

Hello,

Could you write some more information. How are you using GPS - by AT commands or Java? Where is it located or where is the antenna located - inside or outside? Please paste some log to show GPS configuration and the situation when the fix is lost. Does GPS engine switch off or is it still switched on but no fix is possible? Please check the firmware version with ATI1 command.

      1. We set up GPS via AT command.

      2. When developing, the module is located at room and antenna is located outside. When testing, the module is located in car and antenna is located outside.

      3. Log when the fix is lost:

Thank you for the additional information.

So as I understand after the fix is lost the GPS engine is still on and NMEA data is still being sent? Do you restart the GPS engine immediately or wait to give it a chance to get the fix again?

Please check again the firmware version with ATI1 command. ATI does not return all the details.
