EHS8 ARN 00.000.51 serial communication not working | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Dear,
We’ve upgraded an EHS8 from A-REVISION 00.000.14 to 00.000.51. Now we can’t get the serial communication working on ASC1 though it works fine on the old revision.
We’ve set the following parameters:
- Disabled power saving: AT^SPOW=1,0,0
- ASC1 for serial communication: AT^SCFG="Serial/Interface/Allocation","1"
- ASC1 as output: AT^SCFG="Gpio/mode/ASC1","std"
Below is a snapshot of the Extended Configuration Settings:

Lukasz
Lukasz,
I narrowed down the problem: the inputstream on ASC1 doesn’t work after the update to ARN..51.
I use ASC1 for Modbus communication. I open the communication with:
CommConnection modbus_cc = (CommConnectionControlLines)Connector.open("comm:COM1; baudrate=19200 ;autocts=off; ");
InputStream modbus_inStream = modbus_cc.openInputStream();
OutputStream modbus_outStream = modbus_cc.openOutputStream();
Next I send the modbus String and wait for response. On the Oscilloscope I can see that the message is send and the Modbus slave connected responds. The inputstream never gets in the state:
modbus_inStream.available()
Or is able to read from.
Again this problem did not consist with ARN 00.000.14 which we have in production right now.
Lukasz,
We were testing with 2 modules, one with a broken 485 driver and one whre the EHS8 doesn't responds correct, probably a soldering issue.
We tried a third module and now it seems to work.
Our excuses for the inconvenience.
regards,
Kai
