PLS8-US :: how to tune the volume output level ? | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hi Gemalto team:
we connected the digital audio output (IIS) to the codec , then codec connect to the speaker .
now our customer complain about that the loudness is too small when making the voice call .
so is there any way to ajust the volume output level from PS8-US ?
Hi,
Which kind of AT command configuration you have now?
AT^SAIC? Audio interface configuration, first parameter is 3 for I2S (after restart 3->1 = PCM)
AT^SNFS? Audio mode select, perhaps 5, speakerphone ?
AT^SNFO? Output volume control; the fourth parameter, <rxVolStep>, is volume control for
an I2S system. 6 volume levels ranging from -15 dB to 0 dB, adjustable in steps
of 3 dB. (0 = 0dB, 5 = -15 dB)

^SAIC: 1,1,1,3,0,0,1,0
^SNFS: 6
^SNFO: 57,33,0,0,43
how to improve that ?
Hello,
If you are using the digital audio then you have an external codec connected to the module. And you probably have the possibility to configure the volume on the codec.
In the SNFO command the first parameter <cdcRxVol> is for analogue volume only, there is the fourth parametar <rxVolStep> for PCM and I²S.
