Hi,
I my my PLS8-X module i am not getting AT respons on any of the CDC COM ports nor on the UART lines connected directly to the modem, earlier it was working fine, i just made some changes to the service set with fillowing command and there after its not responding to AT commands.
at^ssrvset="usbcomp",10,"0061
AT^SSRVSET="srvmap",10,"MDM","USB0","MUX0"
AT^SSRVSET="srvmap",10,"APP","ASC0","NONE
AT^sSRVSET="actSrvSet",10
at+cfun=1,1
is there any way to reset the module to defaults, when you dont have any AT communication with module?
regards
kk
Hi,
when using USB connection for communication which port do you use? One of those that are listed under Ports, or do you check Gemalto M2M that is listed under modems? You need to use prot of the last one.

Jure
Hello,
The setting seems correct - have you checked with at^ssrvset? before reboot? There is only missing '"'in your log in "usbcomp" setting - there should be error reply for such a command. But even if you have not configured the USB properly you still have set ASC0 as application interface.
If you have really switched to the wrongly defined service set where there is no possibility to communicate with the module you may not be able to fix it - in such case I'd recommend contacting your distributor.

Hi Bartłomiej,
I cant recall what was the the output of at^ssrvset befor reboot, whatever you said may be correct i might have switched in to some wrong service set due to which i am not able to communicate with the module, do u have any backdoor to recover the module? if yes then i can contact the Gemalto directly otherwise i just scrap the module.
regards
kk
Hello,
If you are sure that it is not possible to communicate with the module on any interface it is rather not possible to recover from that state. Firmware update will probably also not work or not help. That's why I recommended to contact the local technical sales or distributor - I believe there must be some internal way to get the module working.
But please make sure that there is no other reason - please check with other PC and check again all interfaces: USB0 is the modem interface which you can find under Modems in Device Manager. As for ASC0 - maybe you are using some RS232/USB converter which causes the problem or there is power saving activated on the module.

Bartłomiej
ok thanks, i will check on different PC before contacting my distributor.
