Anyone can help me?
Hi,
you have a guideline and a video in the following link:
https://iot-developer.thalesgroup.com/tutorial/ph8phs8-pvs8-pxs8-fw-upgr...
You can request the source linux C files and the .usf file to your local Gemalto M2M office

Hi ALOPEZ,
I have tried to upgrade my pxs8 modem the upgrade is completed successfully but the modem does not restart again and the usb port does not appear again, how to do?
I have lost any access to modem.
can you suggest me a solution?
Hello,
Were you using gWinSwup or your own tool while it happened?
Have you tried serial interface? How about 'no firmware' option? Please try also other PC.

Hello,
I have used glinswup_PHx tool delivered by Gemalto. The upgrade was completed successfully, after that the interface /dev/ttyACM0 has desapeared, I have restarted all (modem,...) but nothing is happen no interface is mounted.
I have not tried serial interface, because no interface is mounted.
Hello,
Please try other PC - possibly Windows this time just to make sure if the modem is broken or there's a way to communicate with it and check the configuration. Connect the serial cable if the communication over USB is not possible.

Hello,
glinswup_PHx can it afford to update the firmware with the same version? I think the problem is caused by updating firmware with the same version, how can I know firmware version from usf file?
I think my pxs8 modem is damaged, because I can't see any of usb and serial interface.
Regards
Hello,
You can probably only try to read the firmware version from the file name.
It should be possible to flash the module with the same firmware version. I don't expect that this could cause the problem. Something could have gone wrong like power outage or some physical connection issue that could have caused data ********** etc. It is always a risky operation.
If the USB would not work for some reason and not be visible in the system the serial should always be visible by system if present. If the module is broken there could be no communication but it should be possible to connect to serial interface by some terminal on PC side.
I'd also try with another PC because there can be some issue in the system that causes problems with USB connection.
If nothing will help and you suspect that the module is broken you should contact your module provider or local technical sales.
