I was wondering if there is some more detailed information available regarding the OTAP precedure and specific the required HTTP header fields. This part is not yet documented.
I ask this because I have some throubles with the EHS6 OTAP procedure. First I upload my userware through the serial port and start this. Later on it will be updated but then it wil place the new version besided the old one! The reason is the source of the new firware. See beneath: I want it to overwrite the old one!

Hello Eppie,
EHS6 OTAP works for me in the same setting as yours. I spot only one thing: You have two different MIDlet names ("trafficsign" vs "tc65.app.gateway"). I don't. I suspect the OTAP mechanism compares MIDlet names to discern MIDlets.
Cheers, Ingo
Hello,
Are you sure that you download by OTAP the updated or same application and not completely different one?
The MIDlet-Name and MIDlet-Vendor values should be the same.
Please try to test with the same app, do some chnges and try to update by OTAP. The network path should not matter than.

Bartłomiej
Thanks will check it. So to be clear. A Midlet is unique by iets name AND vendor?
Hello,
Yes - if you change name or vendor the MIDlet will not be updated but a new one will be installed.
Here'a an example:
