EHS6T Driver Issue. | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

On my XP Prof (SP3) system the EHS6T is shown as 'unknow device' in Device Manager / Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Trying to update via the supplied EHS6 Driver v1112 Windows just indicates it has the latest driver installed. Tried uninstalling the 'unknown device' to re-instal, but to no avail.
Any clues to get a successful installation on XP would be appreciated.
Hi Treborg,
Could ypu please send the following screen shots (or video) to verify?
1. Device Manager with tabs "Modems" and "Ports" opened.
2. Screens with the steps (dialogs) which leads to "latest driver installed"
As for reinstall. Please try to delete the device instead of reinstall it.
Could you please also describe how this module is connected?
The EHS6T is connected via the USB port.
As shown below it has not added a modem to the Device manager.
I had tried both methods, re-installating the driver and also deleting 'unknown device' and rebooting - no difference.
On installation it will indicate that no device is detected. For whatever reason it appears to only checking Com1 for a module. - though if I try the same procedure on a Win8 setup (not supported) it will detect various other Com ports - which I can reinstall the drivers as shown in the UTube video - but I still have other issues)
Screen grabs:
Hello TREBORG,
I've checked this on my XP(SP3) PC where no EHS6 modem was installed before. After connecting the USB and powering on the module the devices are shown as other devices and the drivers installation wizard starts.
So if you have such problems I'd suggest to find some freeware tool for diagnosing the USB drivers. Such a tool can show you all the USB devices and drivers (that are normally not shown by Windows even for the devices that are not currently connected). You will be able to uninstall all the devices that are not needed or are causing problems. Maybe this will help.

Used UsbDView to view all USB drivers and allow uninstallation of all USB drivers possible. Rebooted, waited until Windows loaded any USB drivers for connected devices, then connected modem.
Generated the multiple ehX ! and re-installed as indicated via the uTube video. Now modem correctly shown in Ports and Modem device now generated. Still got to plug in other USB devices to see if this affects the modem driver, at least I can check after other USB devices are added.
Thank you for your help.
Spoke too soon - although I had rebooted the PC to ensure the drivers were still installed, as soon as I plugged in a Kingston flash drive, the system was back to 'unknown Device'. Looks as though the driver supplied for the EHS6T is a bit flakey. Looks like I will need to have a separate system for debugging the EH6ST modem and not one that I can use for different development boards - certainly not an ideal situation clogging my work space with different PC's for different tasks.
It looks like some component in your system are in conflick. Honestly we did not get such a reports so far so I have no idea how to help you. I will try to get some information from my other colleagues just when they will go back from the Christmas break. Though it may happen that using separate PC will be a simplest solution.
Will get back to you soon. Meawhile I wish you a Happy NY!

Tried installation on a Win 7 installation and that appears to provide a more reliable installation - from a modem drivers point of view - won't fail as soon as I put a flash drive into the system.
However although the modem is clearly there in Modem / Ports, the CMTK installation software does not detect it. Thus the modem is not 'visible' in Windowes Explorer. This may indicate an issue with the MES software that is used for interfacing to the modem itself.
