PLS8-E Disable hardware flow control | Telit Cinterion IoT Developer Community

Hello,
Is it possible to disable hardware flow control on the PLS8-E? According to the AT command set, AT\Q parameter can only be set to 3 which is RTS/CTS hardware flow control. I would like to use the modem with a device that only has the following lines available on the RS232 connection: RXD, TXD, GND, CTS and DTR. If I connect only RXD, TXD and GND, the device can't communicate with the PLS8-E. If there is no possibility to disable flow control, do you know if I can bypass it somehow? E.g. Connecting the RTS line from the PLS8-E to some voltage?
Right now if I connect pin CTS from the device to pin RTS from the PLS8-E, the communication between them works and I don't understand why.
Thanks
Hello,
In general AT\Q command controls the flow control. But indeed in PLS8-E AT commands specification there is only one setting - RTS/CTS.
If you can't use RTS/CTS lines for the connection with your device I would try to connect RTS with CTS on the module side.

Bartłomiej
Hi Bartłomiej,
Connecting RTS with CTS works. Thanks a lot!
