Hello,
I am switching from and older BGS2-E modem (Rel 1) to a new versions (Rel 4.5) when I try and initialize the modem using the same commands everything seems to work (i.e. the AT commands get the OK response) but the the AT^SISO command I get error code 100 which is the unknown error.
I have text files that show that the AT commands are the same in both cases but it will take a lot of space so haven't posted them but I can if it will help.
Can anyone explain what is going wrong please?
Regards
Stephen
To give a bit more detail, this is the set of AT commands I am sending , this worked with Rel 1 but does not work with Rel 4.5.
This is the response from the Rel 4.5 modem
I have been told that I should use AT+CGREG not AT+CREG but not how so this was of little help.

Stephen
Hello,
The module is not registered to the network, so it is not possible to open any IP service.

OK thanks for your response Bartłomiej, how do I register the module on the Network?
Regards
Stephen
In general it should register automatically (you can force the manual registration, for instance AT+COPS=1,2,26001 or also force automatic registration with AT+COPS=0).
In your log there is +CREG: 0,0 reply and +CSQ: 99,99 which shows that the module is not attached to the network.
Please make sure that the antenna is connected, SIM inserted, check AT+CPIN?, AT+COPS=? to scan the available networks, check AT^MONI, AT+COPS?, AT+CREG?, AT+CFUN?.
